I recon we need to start thinking a little quicker on this one....
Surely we need Lots and Lots of ideas in place...For Wet and dry days etc.
We have alot of people coming therefore we need lots and lots of things to do.
How about loads of options for each day, then in the morn when everyone has sobered up we can meet in the middle and either vote on the options or get into groups to go off and do the things that the groups want to do. We need to make this meet, a meet that EVERYONE can go home and say they had a good time at.
We need to accomodate everyone...
ie,young/old/offroaders/shinneys/pissheads etc...
How about........go-carting....?????
Rounders ... (is there a field)??
Stocks.....(for the piss heads)
Day out at coast...........(yarmouth 43 mls, 50mins)ish
Obviously the LANEING...
We need a count up of the peeps staying on for the week, Perhaps if it goes quiet then the left-overs can move on to the coast for a couple of days before going home ??
VERY SORRY, but i think we need to get things moving on this.
No offence to the organizers, so far you doing great.............
PLEASE people we need to know what people want from the meet
MOAN OVER.... |

I am a bit late to the post but can recomend angliakarting.com in Ipswich.
Went there for our xmas works doo... i ached for a week after! Ipswich is fairly close.
Also went to a nice bowling alley in Ipswich... but I always lost ... so that is *beep*!... no, it is good really!.
'the-owl-barn.com' is a good bird of prey center plus other animals, dont know if they fly if it is rainning but worth a look, other animals to see and pet... think it is donations only i.e. no entry fee.
Some initial ideas.
Most of my collueges work/ live up that way so I will ask... Most of them are into shooting things though! Perhaps another option? |

keep the ideas coming ...
i was talking with Wild Gal this evening about this, and we will be consolidating, and updating very shortly !!
in the meantime - any acheivable ideas are welcome ... if anyone is local, and fancies putting together an on-road treasure hunt, that would be handy .. i have some examples of past ones so that you can see the general idea ....
so, to bring in some ideas ..... and everything is optional ....
we need .... ideas/development on ....????
details on any evening food communal cooking - any advance on the hog roast? .. suggestions have been made about a kids party ..... whip round and trip to supermarket for party food etc
a possible trip to "Jimmy's Farm"
the big car boot/market
the zoo
the laning
a disco
a fancy dress - kids and adults !!
face painting
mug painting
auto jumble
workshops
kids on site treasure hunt ( treasure donations needed)
who is bringing what gazebo's / kit ?
anyone fancy doing some busking .. daisy..?
a quiz
games - rounders, football, volleyball?
did i hear a bouncy castle mentioned?
... we need to have a list of bits and bobs folks can bring to pitch in to the general club area ... ADD TO THIS LIST HERE ...
mega meet list
remember - deposits are due as well !!
only 5 weeks or so to go .....
taz....

Ok, wasn't sure of what age range to recomend activities for... was thinking more teens and older kids - 30+ ... face paints!... football fans!
Jimmy's farm is good for me... get some top nosh for the bbq! (it is not far from a dry ski slope, if any one fancies that!). Colchester Zoo is well worth the effort, but may be a bit far.
I have no idea about kids things so perhaps I should stop posting as I haven't actually confirmed as coming yet.
I will still see if I can find any usefull contacts via my work mates. I will add anything useful I find.
