I'm getting stressed with my 2004 shogun sport 2.5, it developed a tapping noise from the engine, so decided to investigate and found number 2 small end bearing very worn  number 4 small end bearing had spun around, crankshaft  bolt decided to snap on removal, long story short lots of money spent on new parts and complete engine rebuild  began, after refuting it took abit of cranking to start, eventually started and sounded quite nice but EML  is on and seems to  crank abit before starting, I plugged in my Delphi diagnostic and it comes up with code  21 NE sensor main (present) and rev counter not working,
after some Google searches all I can find is crankshaft sensor but during live data and volt meter checks all seem ok, any ideas on where to look next as its beginning to send me insane.

Thanks in advance
Dave

There's a very active group for the Sports on Facebook. You might be better trying there if you haven't resolved your problem.
