|
|
I couldn't get a good deal for my new motor, as I have bought a Merc ML350. So I went to cancel the Pajero insurance with Adrian Flux. Bearing in mind that I only renewed it on 17th June THIS year. I paid £286 for comp.
My refund offer was £40 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FFS!
They said that the breakdown cover £60 was non refundable, fair enough.
They have to keep their commission of £15 and a £30 fee, fair enough.
BUT the insurance company is keeping over £140 !!!!! What for 2 months and a bit cover? That is taking the P!ss. Is this normal practice?
AF then upped their offer to £59.
What are your thoughts? |

Thanks for your reply.
That didn't help, but they upped the refund from £40 to £59, still leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
Apparently it was the insurance company Trinity Land that with help 70% for the 7 weeks cover I had with them. |

I sold my 2.8 six months before the insurance expired - but I paid my premiums monthly so they just closed it down but didn't ask for any extra money. |

Why didn't you switch vehicles on the existing policy? Wouldn't it have been more cost effective? |

Yes I did try that, and they wanted another £274 on top of the £268 I had already paid 7 weeks earlier. I got better cover from Hasting Direct at around £360. |
