On my Mk IV

I've got ABS, Anti skid and ASC lights all come one on. It happened under light braking

I'm thinking wheel speed sensor. What resistance should these devices show. I'll put a multimeter across them to see.

Regards,
Stephen

Check the stator rings first as they clog up with muck over time and prevent the sensor from working correctly, these are the toothed ring under the sensor.
These work by variable inductance and as the peak of the stator ring passes it a power pulse is generated, as the trough passes it there is no pulse and this identifies both the wheel speed and any sudden slipping or locking.

Check the connector plug, remove the connection and ensure it isn't corroded as any corrosion increases the resistance and this resistance affects the readings obtained from the sensor.

Turns out both brake bulbs had failed.

Fixing that fixed the yellow lights!

Who knew?

All three have lit up again, but this time the brake lights are fine.

It will be a trip to the garage to get the codes read to see if this points to something else trivial.

The all lit up together as I went over a bump in the road, coming off a roundabout.

I’ve used an OBD II reader, which shows no fault codes. I’m guessing that’s because the fault is located outside of the main ECU. It can read main ECU and TCM.

The lights have been intermittent for a while but now on permanently. No obvious other symptoms from the car.

Any ideas until I can get the time to get to the garage?

I had this, it was the steering angle sensor whatever that is.

My local Mistzy garage sorted it for me, cost just over £100 if I remember correct.

Turns out, in this instance, it was the RHS Front Wheel Speed Sensor O/S
