Anyone changed there own starter motor on 3.2 shogun auto diesel 2005,and how difficult was it.any tips or advice much appreciated.

I did mine a while ago,  it is relatively easy, bash plates off, disconnect the front prop shaft and the ATF dipstick guide to make space and access the bolts.  It is a bit of a spatial awareness challenge to get the old one out but if you make a note of the twits and turns and reverse to get the new one in it is ok.  It is pretty heavy so take care not to be directly below where your working.

that saved me a load of work, after fiddling and mucking about read your comments and got under the car...bit of a fiddle with the top bolt but once I had the right combo of connectors and sockets got it all off in no time and back on in less time than it took to work it out...now battery dead...annoying...
